Billboard Hot 100 (Issue Date: Sept. 25, 2010)

"Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry remains on top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a second straight week but next week it will face stiff competition with Bruno Mars' Just The Way You Are, the current #1 in Hot Digital Songs and Rihanna's "Only Girl", which debuts this week at #75, that is reported to sell at least 200 thousand and with a rising radio airplay, it could possibly pull an upset and leap to #1 next week,

It will be definitely an interesting chart battle next week!

Elsewhere on the chart, Flo Rida earns his first top 10 hit since "Sugar" in 2009 as "Club Can't Handle Me" rises to #9. As I mentioned yesterday, this is a sleeper hit for Flo Rida as compared to his previous first singles "Low" and "Right Round" which both hit #1 for a number weeks and where really strong out of the gate.

Sarah Bareilles topped the Billboard 200 with her sophomore set "Kaleidoscope Heart" and it also helped the lead single "King of Anything" jump from #51 to #32 this week. Train's singles are right next to each other as "Hey, Soul Sister" (50 weeks on the chart) drops to #33 while "If It's Love" climbs to #34, passing of the torch? Let's see

Could this be the last week for Lady Antebellum "Need You Now"? The song which is on its 57th week on the chart drops to #46 and as per Billboard charts rules once a song that has charted for more than 20 weeks drops below #50 it automatically drops out and enter the recurrents chart. Nevertheless, "Need You Now" enjoyed a strong run on the Hot 100 and almost hit #1 but was thwarted by Taio Cruz's Break Your Heart (which drops to #48 this week, 29 weeks on the chart) early this year. With it's strong chart run and longevity, it's one of the front runners to top Billboard's Year-end chart later this year.

Florence + The Machine's Dog Days Are Over debuts at #93 this week but expect a huge leap next as the song is currently on the top 10 of the US iTunes digital songs chart thanks to Florence's VMA performance last Sunday.
