Billboard Hot 100 (Issue Date: Feb. 18, 2012)

Kelly Clarkson is definitely back stronger! Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) dislodges Adele's Set Fire to the Rain for the top spot on this week's Billboard Hot 100. This is Clarkson's 3rd Hot 100 #1 hit. She first hit the top spot a decade ago with her American Idol coronation song A Moment Like This while she didn't hit the top spot again until in 2009 with My Life Would Suck Without You. Interesting enough Clarkson failed to get a #1 from her breakout album "Breakaway". Her highest charting song there was Since U Been Gone which stalled at #2 in 2005, it could have hit #1 but 50 Cent's Candy Shop was just too strong back then. But look sever years later, who's still charting? Clarkson is still the lone American Idol alum to have multiple #1 singles. Arguably, Clarkson's win help bring American Idol some level of cred as oppose to being just a hype machine.

Adele and Clarkson will likely battle it out for the next couple of weeks. The former is ahead in airplay but the latter is ahead in sales. Nevertheless, it's quite a refreshing to see two artists with no ounce of autotune in their vocals with non-Rhythmic songs dominating the chart.

Three songs in the top 10 achieved new peaks: Jessie J's Domino (#6), Tyga's Rack City (#7) and Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dog and Bruno Mars' Young, Wild and Free (#8). This week's top debut comes from Madonna with Give Me All Your Luvin', the lead single from her upcoming album MDNA, which bows at #13. This is the pop legend's 44th Top 20 hit. The song which features Nicki Minaj and M.I.A got a boost on this year's Super Bowl where Madonna had a well-received halftime performance.

Speaking of Super Bowl boost expect LMFAO's Sexy and I Know It (#9) and Party Rock Anthem (#20) to return to the top 5 and top 10 ranks again, respectively as LMFAO performed with Madonna during the halftime show. Also receiving a boost is We Are Young by Fun. feat Janelle Monae. The song earlier got a boost when Glee covered the song which result to sales boast good enough for the single to debut at #53 but the song was used on commercial aired during the Super Bowl and the song immediately shot up on iTunes and is currently the #1 song.

Speaking of Glee, 5 tracks enter this week from their Michael Jackson tribute episode headed by Smooth Criminal (#26) followed by Human Nature (#56), Black and White (#64), Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' (#78) and Bad (#80).

Adele's Rolling in the Deep hangs on to #44 just down a notch from #43 last week on its 57th week on the chart. Retiring to recurrent status this week are Headlines by Drake (25 weeks, peak: #13), You Make Me Feel Good by Cobra Starship feat Sabi (29 weeks, peak: #7) and Pumped Up Kicks by Foster The People (40 weeks, peak: #3). Lady GaGa's Marry the Night drops out this week as well after just 12 weeks on the chart and peaking a #29. This is the lowest charting official single from Lady GaGa as her first 11 singles all made it to the top 10.
